Supports healthy BLOOD SUGAR and INSULIN SENSITIVITY. Beneficial in WEIGHT MANAGEMENT.
New innovative formulation designed to assist in maintaining healthy blood sugar levels, improve insulin sensitivity and to control sugar cravings.
Indications:
- Provides support for healthy glucose metabolism.
- Promotes balanced blood sugar levels.
- Assists in reduction of metabolic syndrome.
- Supports healthy weight management programmes.
- May reduce sugar cravings.
- Improves insulin sensitivity.
- Increases antioxidant capacity and decreases oxidative stress.
Bitter Melon appears to decrease hepatic gluconeogenesis, increase hepatic glycogen synthesis, increase pancreatic insulin secretion and increase peripheral glucose oxidation.
Gymnema sylvestre has been increased in the new formulation due to its effectiveness in lowering blood glucose. This is due to the gymnemic acid content which seems to inhibit the absorption of glucose and may be responsible for stimulating the beta cells that are located within the islets of Langerhans of the pancreas, which are responsible for the production and secretion of insulin.
Goat’s Rue has blood sugar lowering activity due to its guanidine content which may have a dose-dependent inhibition of transport and uptake of methyl glucose. An interesting fact is that Goat’s Rue is the botanical source for the life extension drug metformin (GlucoPhage).
Minerals and vitamins that are an essential part of the normal blood glucose balancing process are also included.
Cinnamon improves insulin’s function due to the content of polyphenolic polymers such as hydroxychalcone which seems to potentiate the action of insulin. These polymers may also increase phosphorylation of the insulin receptor which increases the receptor’s sensitivity to insulin. Cinnamon also helps reduce the rate of gastric emptying and decreases the rise in blood sugar after eating.
Chromium plays an essential role in normal carbohydrate metabolism and glucose tolerance. It supports insulin receptor formation, insulin receptor phosphorylation, and insulin binding.
Vanadium supplementation is key as it may increase the sensitivity of glucose and insulin receptors.
The more bioavailable Pyridoxine (P5P) has replaced vitamin B6, as it does not require enzymatic conversion in the liver. P5P improves the body’s utilisation of glucose and protects against the development of diabetic neuropathy. Most diabetes mellitus patients are found to be deficient in vitamin B6.
Don’t forget the importance of antioxidants!
Alpha Lipoic Acid has now been included for its benefits as a “universal antioxidant” which is essential for protecting the blood vessels from free radicals caused by excess blood sugar.
Quercetin has a dual action as potent antioxidant while also being shown to improve glucose metabolism and reduce gluconeogenesis. Quercetin also enhances insulin secretion and protects the beta cells of the pancreas against free radical damage.
NAC is a potent antioxidant, helping to prevent the free radical-induced destruction of beta cells in the islets of Langerhans in diabetes mellitus type 2 patients. NAC may also aid in the reduction of diabetic neuropathy in diabetes mellitus patients.
GlucoScript provides optimal doses of all the vital nutrients needed for achieving the best results in pursuit of healthy blood sugar balance.
Recommended Dosage:
Take 1 capsule, 3 times a day after meals.
Children (4 - 12 years): Take 1 capsule, 2 times a day after meals. Use as directed, or as prescribed by your doctor.
WARNING: Due to the Goat’s Rue herb, GlucoScript has a strong smell, and this is normal. Not advised while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Store in the original packaging, with the lid tightly closed, at or below 25 °C.KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
